Executive Director
Elizabeth, the new Executive Director, is an accomplished Economist with a strong background in advocacy and community service. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she earned her B.A. in Economics from NYU. With over 17 years of experience in the Hemophilia community, Elizabeth has been an active advocate, parent, volunteer, panelist, and executive board member for several local and national organizations and committees.
Executive Director,Emeritus
Has worked within the bleeding disorders community for over twenty years. Her specialty has been insurance and access for the community. Since 2010 she has been the Executive Director of the Association. She is one of the founding members of the New York State Bleeding Disorders Coalition which provides ‘Grass Roots’ advocacy for the community. She received her MBA from Dowling College and has a BA from Nyack College. She lives on the North Fork on Long Island. Her favorite pastime is cooking and spending time with family, friends, and her Brittany.
Client Support Associate
Janine received her B.S. in Communicative Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Mandarin Chinese from NYU. Though new to the bleeding disorders world, Janine is excited to be able to leverage her skills in support of the community. Janine is dedicated to facilitating equity and access in all parts of life, and hopes to continue to promote those values at HANY. In her free time, Janine enjoys learning new languages, trying out new restaurants, and reading. As Client Support Associate, Janine hopes to serve as an asset to the association and to the bleeding disorders community at large.
Operations Manager
Jose Bautista, a bilingual New York City native, holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Hunter College. He began his career as an Inner City Baseball Scout for Major League Baseball, where he built strong relationships with the community and local officials. He then served as Webmaster/IT for the Department of Education, sharpening his technical and administrative expertise.
Currently, as Operations Manager at HANY, Jose ensures the efficient management of business practices, focusing on operational excellence and technological innovation. His passion for continuous learning drives his success in this role. Outside of work, Jose is a dedicated baseball fan and tech enthusiast.
